One of Hammer Films more memorable sirens, Caroline Munro started her career as a model before being offered small parts in various movies like Casino Royale and A Talent for Loving. In 1971, she starred along with Vincent Price in The Abominable Dr. Phibes, and the following year she appeared in the sequel, Dr. Phibes Rises Again.
But being signed to Hammer was the real turning point in her career. A string of memorable roles followed, including Dracula A.D. 1972, Captain Kronos-Vampire Hunter, and Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell.
Other notable appearances: The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1974), At the Earth’s Core (1976), and The Spy Who Loved Me (1977).
Throughout the ‘70’s and ‘80’s, Caroline starred in numerous European horror films of varying quality. But what has NEVER varied is her stunning dark-eyed beauty and poise.

ReplyDeleteI saw her in The Golden Voyage of Sinbad and she's tied for my first crush along with Mrs Featherman my 2nd grade teacher. She still makes my palms sweat.
